New Earth Soul / Spiritual awakening support from people who understand

Spiritual awakening support from people who understand

Awakening can be beautiful, and it can be lonely. Old beliefs fall away, relationships change, and it’s hard to explain to the people closest to you. New Earth Soul is where you stop explaining and start being understood.

Where things stand: New Earth Soul is a new community and access hasn’t opened yet. You can join the waitlist now, and we’ll email you when the pilot begins. Everything described on this page is what members will find inside.

What you can find here

What this is, and what it isn’t

New Earth Soul is a peer community. It is not therapy, medical care or an emergency service, and the people here are not clinicians. Hosts are trained volunteers who welcome people and keep the tone kind. If an experience is badly disrupting your sleep, work or relationships, or you feel unsafe, please also talk to a doctor or therapist. In the US you can call or text 988 at any time, or use your local emergency number.

Stanislav and Christina Grof wrote about “spiritual emergency”, a growth experience that becomes disorienting and overwhelming. David Lukoff, who helped get “religious or spiritual problem” recognised in the DSM-IV, describes the difference from a mental-health crisis as how much it disrupts everyday functioning, and notes the two can overlap, so the boundary isn’t sharp. That is why the reflection looks for signs of heavy overwhelm and gently points toward extra care when they show. We have not had our approach professionally reviewed.

How to take part

  1. Join the waitlist and confirm your email.
  2. Take the private reflection when access opens. It names your current chapter and offers a circle. If it picks up that you may need more care, it says so kindly and shows help options.
  3. Start small. Read your circle’s home page, say hello in the live chat, or write in your journal.
  4. Ask a question and tell people what would help: listen, share their experience, or suggest resources.
