New Earth Soul is built with the help of some generous open projects. Thank you to everyone behind them.

Place names on the member map

City, state and region names come from GeoNames, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. We use only the names, regions and the middle point of each city, and we have trimmed the list to cities and towns of 15,000 people or more.

Country flags

Flags are from flag-icons by Panayiotis Lipiridis, under the MIT licence. The licence text travels with the flag files at /flags/LICENSE.txt.

Maps and mapping code

World outlines come from world-atlas, built on Natural Earth (public domain). Map drawing uses d3-geo and topojson-client.

Fonts

Cormorant Garamond, Inter, Montserrat and Caveat are open fonts served by Google Fonts.
